Built around life aboard
I built TenderTo to support life from anchorage to anchorage: helping you reach shore, explore it, and return home to the boat. The features come from the situations cruising sailors encounter in real dinghies, not from a generic navigation checklist.
The app began with large GPS coordinates and speed in knots. It has grown to include a saved Home Vessel position, trip history, a visible return track, tide and daylight information, tender records, photographs, and a report that can help if a dinghy is stolen.
Why I built TenderTo
I was recently diagnosed with heart failure. Instead of starting a GoFundMe, I decided to build something practical for the cruising community that has given me so much joy—in the hope of leaving you with a tool you can use.
TenderTo can help your whole crew get back to your boat safely at night by letting them follow the recorded outward track in reverse.
If the app adds value to your dinghy rides, you can help me pay my medical expenses by sending a contribution through Venmo.
You keep me going through this medical crisis. I keep adding features and enhancing this tool.
