Information used by the iPhone app
Location and motion-related information
With your permission, TenderTo uses the iPhone’s location information while the app is in use to show coordinates, estimate speed, display the tender on a map, save a Home Vessel position, record a trip track, calculate distance, classify parts of an outing, and select nearby tide information.
Tender, vessel, motor, owner, and incident information
You may enter identification and registration details, select an owner from Contacts, choose photographs, and enter incident information for a report. The contact picker returns only the contact you deliberately select. TenderTo does not scan or upload your address book.
Trip history and cached tide information
Trip points, speed, distance, timestamps, classifications, and nearby tide predictions may be stored on your device so you can review trips and retain recently loaded information when internet service is unavailable.
Where app information is stored
The current beta does not require a TenderTo account. Tender, vessel, trip, owner, and incident records are stored locally on the iPhone and are not automatically uploaded to a TenderTo server. Information leaves the app when you deliberately share an exported report, use an external link, or when the app requests map, chart, geocoding, or tide data from a service provider.
Services the app contacts
TenderTo uses Apple system services for location, maps, geocoding, contacts, photos, and sharing. It requests chart tiles and tide station predictions from NOAA services. Those providers may receive technical information such as your IP address and the geographic area needed to answer a request, subject to their own policies. Optional TenderTo shoreline or AIS services are not configured in the current public beta build.
Beta signup and website analytics
If you join the beta list, TenderTo collects the name, email address, and consent confirmation you submit. Netlify processes and stores the form submission on behalf of TealShift, LLC. Resend processes the name and email address as needed to deliver the signup acknowledgement and TenderTo email updates. This information is used only for TenderTo beta invitations, development updates, and launch news. It is not sold. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to an update or emailing support@tenderto.app.
The TenderTo website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and site performance. The website does not use advertising trackers or sell visitor information. Email and Venmo links take you to services governed by their own privacy policies.
Your choices and deletion
You can deny or revoke iPhone permissions in Settings. You can delete individual trips in the app. Removing the app deletes its locally stored data according to iOS behavior, unless data has separately been exported or backed up through a service you control.
Children
TenderTo is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security and changes
No system is completely secure. TenderTo minimizes collection in the current beta by keeping core records on the device. This policy may change as account, sharing, or infrastructure features are introduced; the revised date will be updated here.
